STARCARE's 12th Annual Power of Women Luncheon with Guest Speaker: Deidre Pujols, Founder and CEO of Open Gate International

Deidre Pujols is a POWER WOMAN!

Throughout her travels, often accompanied by her celebrated husband and baseball star Albert, Deidre came to understand the devastating emotional, social and economic impact wrought by human trafficking and abuse.  She was determined to get involved.  After speaking to many organizations, she found that a critical element of survivor support was missing: Job training and workforce integration.

Deidre established Open Gate International (OGI) in 2016 to provide job and life skills for adults from vulnerable life situations - including human trafficking, violence, homelessness and other forms of abuse and oppression.  Today her program operates in four countries and is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation.

A Special Treat
Our luncheon meal will be prepared by students of Deidre's culinary institute, enabling all of us to experience the fruits of OCI's success.
